Refund & Cancellation Policy
(Global Academy – English Terms for Website & Enrollment Agreement)
Article 1. Withdrawal of Enrollment
1. The Student may withdraw enrollment before the course start date.
2. The Student may withdraw enrollment within 7 days from the date the enrollment certificate is issued
(or within 7 days from the course start date if no certificate is issued),
- only if all the following conditions are met:
- The course duration is 2 months or longer;
- The total tuition exceeds KRW 100,000
(or KRW 200,000 when paid by credit card);
- The tuition is paid in 3 or more installments.
3. If the Student withdraws enrollment before the course start date, the Student must return the enrollment certificate, and the Academy shall refund:
- The full amount of tuition already paid;
- The full amount of textbook or material fees, except for textbooks or materials that the Student fails to return or has damaged.
4. If the Student withdraws enrollment after the course begins, the Student must return the enrollment certificate, and the Academy shall refund:
- The remaining portion of the prepaid tuition,calculated based on the unused instruction hours;
- The textbook fee for returned textbooks (no refund for unreturned or damaged textbooks);
- The unused portion of material fees (or the full amount if no practice was conducted).
Article 2. Mid-Term Termination of Contract
1. If the Student cannot continue the course due to reasons attributable to the Academy
(e.g., administrative suspension, closure, relocation, change in class hours or instructors),
the Student shall return the enrollment certificate, and the Academy shall refund:
- The portion of tuition corresponding to the unused instruction hours;
- Textbook and material fees in accordance with Article 1.
2. If the Student terminates the contract for personal reasons
(e.g., illness, relocation, travel), the Academy shall refund:
- The portion of tuition corresponding to the unused instruction period;
- The unused portion of material fees.
Article 3. Rescission of Contract
1. The Student may rescind the contract if any of the following occur:
- The contract was made based on false information or false advertisement;
- The number of students exceeds the permitted class size;
- Instruction was provided by an unqualified or underqualified instructor;
- Tuition or other fees were falsely posted or overcharged;
- Any other improper conduct that makes it significantly difficult for the Student to continue the course.
2. If the Student rescinds the contract for any reason listed above
(except for overcharging of tuition), the Academy shall refund:
- The full prepaid tuition if rescission is made immediately after discovering the cause;
- A remaining portion of the prepaid tuition if the Student continued classes after becoming aware of the issue;
- The textbook and material fees as prescribed in Article 1.
3. If the contract is rescinded due to false posting or overcharging of tuition, the Academy shall refund:
- The full prepaid tuition,
- Minus the cost of textbooks that the Student fails to return or has damaged,
- Minus the cost of materials used during practice sessions,
- Minus the cost of unused materials that are not returned or are damaged.
